Submission of customers information to CAR

Dear customer,

Please be informed that only account information from our customers, excluding account balances and amounts held in those accounts, shall be submitted to the Central Accounts Registry (CAR).

The CAR has been established by the Bank of Mauritius under Section 52A of the Bank of Mauritius Act 2004, with the objective of assisting in the fight against money laundering, terrorism financing, and other financial crimes.

 The disclosure of account information collected in the CAR is restricted under the law.
